Changes in Microsoft 2007

The new Microsot Word 2007 offers many new and helpful features. The biggest differnce in the program is the Ribbon. What used to be the usual File, Edit, Insert, View, etc. tabs on the top of word is now a user friendly tab systems referred to as the Ribbon. The Ribbon uses clear and large tabs to bring the most used commands and tools to the user. It makes it very easy to find all the tools and programs one would need, avoiding the searching deep into Word to find what one is looking for.
Word uses better and clearer tabs, groups, and commands in order to make all work easier and faster. Another addition, the dialogue box launchers are easy tools found on within the groups which offer more detailed and advanced options.
Perhaps the most useful tool in the new Word is the Quick Access Toolbar. This is an extremely useful tooolbar found in the top left area of the Ribbon and it contains small icon tabs that give you very quick and easy access to the most used tools such as open, save, undo, redo, and print. You are also able to add any tool or command to the Quick Access Toolbar.
And finally, Word has done another great job with shortcuts and commands and you are even able to gain access to every tab on the Ribbon.
In conclusion, Word has done a very good job making Word much more user friendly. While it takes some time getting used to, the Word 2007 makes working much easier and faster by giving users better and more convenient access to all tools and commands.
So far my experience with Word 2007 has been excellent.
